How to Delete Your Account
To completely delete your Haboochii account and all associated data (including email, name, and cloud backups), you must contact us:
- Send an email to: support@haboochii.com
- Use the subject line: "Delete Account"
- Include your registered email address in the message
- We'll confirm receipt and process your request within 30 days
Deleting Local Data Only
If you only want to delete your habits and progress (but keep your account):
- In-app: Settings → Advanced → "Delete All Data" (deletes habits, progress, streaks)
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device
⚠️ Important: Deleting local data or uninstalling does NOT delete your account, email, or cloud backups. To fully delete your account, you must email us.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account Information - Your email address, display name, and authentication credentials
- Habit Data - All habits, daily progress, streaks, and completion history
- Analytics & Stats - All tracked statistics, insights, and mood data
- Cloud Backups - All stored backups and backup metadata
- Settings & Preferences - Creature selection, habitat settings, notification preferences
- Reminders - All scheduled notifications and reminder configurations
What May Be Retained
For legal, tax, and security purposes, some data may be retained for a limited time:
- Subscription Records - Billing and payment history (retained for up to 90 days for tax/legal compliance)
- Support Communications - Email correspondence for customer support (retained for 1 year)
- Fraud Prevention Logs - Anonymized security logs (retained for 90 days)
Important: Payment information is managed by Google Play / Apple, not by us. We never see or store your payment details.
Deletion Timeline
- Immediate - Local data is deleted instantly when using "Delete All Data" in the app
- Within 30 days - Cloud backups and account data are permanently deleted from our servers
- Confirmation - You'll receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete
⚠️ This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, all data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Before You Delete
Before deleting your account, you may want to:
- Export Your Data - Use the "Export JSON" feature in Settings to save a copy of your habits and progress
- Cancel Active Subscriptions - Cancel any active Pro subscriptions through Google Play / Apple to avoid future charges
- Download Backups - Save any cloud backups you want to keep locally
Note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel through Google Play / Apple separately.
Alternative: Partial Data Deletion
If you don't want to delete your entire account, you can delete specific data from within the app:
- Delete Habit Data - Settings → Advanced → "Delete All Data" (removes all habits, progress, and streaks)
- Delete Cloud Backups - Settings → Cloud Backup → "Delete All Backups" (keeps your account but removes backups)
- Archive Habits - Archive individual habits to hide them from your active list (preserves their data)
Note: These options do NOT delete your account (email, name, password). To fully delete your account, you must email us.
